Admissions
Who can join the Seminary?
Sacred Heart Seminary Lacor admits as per its vision and mission. Candidates must:
- Be only young male baptized Catholics
- Demonstrate that he has vocation to the priesthood
- Have parents who are practicing Catholics, spiritually and financially supportive of the vocation of their son
- Be between 13-16 for senior one entry and 17-22 for senior five entry
- Have passed PLE or UCE
Application Process
Dates and venues for interview or entrance tests are usually communicated Pupils who sat Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) and students who sat Uganda Certificate Examinations (UCE) are presented by the Parish Priests to the admissions team comprising of personnel from the Seminary Administration and the diocesan Vocations Director’s office. Prospective candidates sit both oral and written entrance tests administered by the Admissions team. Successful candidates in the interview or entrance test, who pass their PLE and UCE are accepted at senior one (S.1) and senior five (S.5) respectively.
General Requirement for the interview:
- Application form duly filled and endorsed by the Parish Priest.
- Slip/Testimonial from previous school (those joining S.1)
- Three passport photos
- Photocopy of birth certificate
- Baptismal certificate and its photocopy
