Lacor Seminary Old Students’ Association (LASOSA)
Who We Are
LASOSA is a communion of former seminarians – both ordained clergy and laity – who share a common spiritual lineage rooted in Sacred Heart Seminary Lacor. Our membership spans across dioceses, professions, and generations, united by faith, fraternity, and service.
Brief Background
The Lacor Seminary Old Students’ Association (LASOSA) was formally constituted and approved on 05th July 2023, during a historic Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the Seminary grounds. Since its inception, LASOSA has:
- Fully registered and operationalized under a binding Constitution.
- Established a functional and active bank account with Centenary Bank:

- Branch: Gulu Branch
- Convened regular AGMs and Executive Committee meetings in accordance with its Constitution.

Strategic Plan (2023–2028)
LASOSA is implementing a Five-Year Strategic Plan focused on:
- Strengthening spiritual formation through retreats and conferences.
- Establishing a LASOSA Training Academy for skills development.
- Launching economic ventures and a SACCO for financial inclusion.
- Enhancing visibility through digital platforms and publications.
- Building partnerships with Church institutions and development agencies.

- Launching the LASOSA SACCO and Training Academy.
- Organizing Vicariate-based outreach and mentorship programs.
- Strengthening financial accountability and member mobilization.
- Enhancing collaboration with Church institutions for staffing and governance roles.
Untapped Human Resource Potential
LASOSA is richly endowed with professionals across disciplines—lawyers, doctors, educators, politicians, agronomists, theologians, philosophers, development experts, and clergy. These men and women are ready to serve the Archdiocese in various capacities.
We therefore propose:
- Collaboration with LASOSA in staffing Church institutions.
- Nomination of LASOSA members to Boards of affiliated institutions.
- Inclusion of LASOSA in strategic planning and diocesan development initiatives.
