As the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations began on Monday, 12th October, our 27 young seminarians stepped into the exam room prepared, prayerful, and blessed.
On Thursday, 8th October, the candidates gathered for their final briefing. They received guidance on examination conduct, time management, and the discipline and composure expected of them during the exams. The session reminded them that the months of study, mentorship, and formation now come together in this moment.
The briefing was graced by our esteemed Alumni, who came to encourage the candidates and share from their own experience as former students of the seminary. In a heartfelt gesture of support, they gifted each candidate a Mathematics Set and a customized Success plaque to the class as a whole. The plaque is a lasting keepsake of the seminary family standing behind them. We sincerely thank the Alumni for their generosity and their continued commitment to the generations that follow them.
On Sunday, 11th October, the day before the exams, the candidates received a special blessing from Most Rev. Dr. John Baptist Odama, Archbishop Emeritus of Gulu. Surrounded by prayer, the young men entrusted their examinations to God, asking for wisdom, calm minds, clear memory, and the strength to give their best. We are deeply grateful to the Archbishop Emeritus for his fatherly presence and blessing.
To our 27 candidates: you carry with you the prayers of your teachers, formators, parents, alumni, and the entire seminary community. Work diligently, trust in your preparation, and remember that you do not walk alone.
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
We wish our candidates every success as they begin their exams. God bless you all!
